ASREC Supports Historic Hydroelectric Restoration Project

The American Samoa Historic Preservation Office in partnership with the American Samoa Power Authority is seeking funding for the purpose of hiring consultants to provide a condition and restoration assessment of the historic Fagatogo / Matafao Hydroelectric Power System.  The project will help to reduce the Territory’s dependence on imported fossil fuels by producing clean, renewable, local, base-load hydroelectric power.
